Frequency of Seroma Formation after Modified Radical Mastectomy in Patients who receive Neo-adjuvant Chemotherapy

Background: Breast cancer is among the commonest of causes death caused due to in females throughout world. Objective: To determine frequency Seroma formation patients undergoing Modified Radical Mastectomy after neoadjuvant therapy. Methodology: Study Design: Comparative cross-sectional study. Place and Duration Study: Department Surgery, Chandka Medical College Hospital, Larkana from November 2019 January 2022. A total 217 diagnosed cases breast carcinoma who underwent a modified radical mastectomy initially receiving chemotherapy were selected for this Pre-designed proforma was used collect information related different variables. Results: The average age women 47.29±8.38 years. seroma with neo-adjuvant therapy found 41.94% (91/217). Volume number resected lymph nodes 56.64±5.64 ml 7.59±1.08. Conclusion: Prediction following remains challenging. We identified no potential risk factors other than pathological status tumor which associated an increased formation.
